No PwB2 Regionals. What do we do with PwB Districts? Do we split 6 & 4 or have all teams in one big event? Very few problems with District Playoffs this past year. Comments were made by those communities that hosted Districts, Regionals and State Playoffs in their towns.

IX. New Business

1. State Meeting – coming up in Rochester on September 19-21

2. Scheduling to save travel costs/time. Discussion on meeting held by

schedulers in Bemidji in August. Looked at how to save on travel number of games and still maintain the credibility of our District. Multiple games at one site a possibility and multiple games on weekends (most communities do this already). We will continue to discuss different possibilities and bring them to the full group for approval for the future.

3. Roster Meeting: TRF Auditorium Nov 16 beginning at 1:00 pm Times will be assigned and sent out later.

Winter meeting at Crookston on Feb 16^th. Location to be determined.

4. District Director Position.

Mr Elliott had submitted his resignation. Discussion followed.

There was a motion by EGF and Warroad second to not accept the Mark Elliott resignation as District 16 Director. The vote was unanimous to not accept the resignation. Mark will stay on a the District 16 Director.

X. Adjournment Motion by TRF, second Roseau to adjourn at about 8:00 pm.

8. Old Arena: County purchase of old arena and auditorium moving ahead. County will honor our agreement with city when purchase takes place. City Fees possible no change and tournament fees might increase. Tony will have more info for August Meeting.

9.Sub Committees:

Finance: High school looking for check for Mega Raffle. Jim is going to double check amount.

Operations Old Arena: Purchase of a reconditioned Zamboni $12,625.00 delivered, $11,500.00 we pick up. Brent will check with Hartz Trucking on rates. TRFAHA being billed for the electrical to operate the pop machine out side the arena about $50.00 per month. TRFAHA doesn’t receive the commission from this machine. Tony will talk to the city.

X. Old Business
1. MH restructuring – redistricting District 4 and District 8 are working out something to work out teams staying in their districts and then have a league play –off between them. To keep their travel time down to 20 minutes. Mark asked MN Hockey meeting if they were not in violation of their affiliation with USA Hockey agreement in the voting structure of decisions and suggested that host affiliations (associations should have the ballot power) on electing people in the positions on the MN Hockey board.
2. District webpage Dean Rourke or USA Hockey connections to add a district web page.
3. Host participating in Regions/State Host no longer gets a automatic berth to hosting in region or state tournaments
4. Screening Forms : Screening forms are the same…yellow is the color for the next season … 2007-2008. Print them on yellow paper. Get them in ASAP for board members and as many returning coaches as possible. PROCESS THEM IMMEDIATELY as they are not to step on the ice until they are processed.
Send returning staff people forms to Mark Elliott, email the information in ASAP on new people and send the forms to Mark Elliott.
7. Wild program sales.

8. Consistency & Quality of reffing. Continuing talking to continue to improve the consistency. Evaluation of referees will be discussed at the fall meeting.
Look at consistency all season …. Start to finish. How & when to evaluate.

9. Complaints – How to do it, when to do it. Bring up immediately in writing (or email) to Mark Elliott. Parents need to go through the coach or association board bring forth the complaint.
a. Region or state tournaments contact Mark if you are encountering problems with tournament operations. These events are MN Hockey events they are not local events.

IX. New Business
1. New association forms: Affiliate agreements filled in and signed and sent in to Mark Elliott. 1032 Paul Bunyan Dr Bemidji, MN 56601
2. Girls A vs. B Girls 12UAB and Girls 14UAB and Girls10UAB / Games with 15 and 16 girls can be played between AB just notify Mark Elliott in an email ahead of time. Girls 8U and 10U can play boys teams and a 12U can with district boys peewee team with Mark Elliott’s approval. Tournaments need to run as registered. You can run a tournament with only district teams with Mark Elliott’s approval A or B and with Mark and Dave Stigen’s approval girls 12UA and B. Communicate with Mark Elliott
