TRF Game Guidelines

(Bantam A)

Following MN Hockey Return to Play Guidelines Phase 5 (Jan 12, 2021) and District 16 Game Protocol (updated January 28, 2021)

Minnesota Hockey announced its guidance for Phase 5, which will go into effect on Thursday, January 14 when games may resume. Key highlights of Phase 5 include:

  • In District 16 we want to adhere to the 2 spectators per player and coaches, but at this time D16 is allowing additional attendees (maximum of 4 per player) and an additional 10 people .... as long as this number DOES NOT EXCEED the capacity of 150 people or 25% of the allowed seating in the arena..  (children under 18 do not count toward the 4 attendees per player)
  • No resurfacing during games (between periods).
  • Per the state mandate, cloth face coverings (masks) must always be worn by everyone inside the arena.  This includes participants during on-ice game play.
  • ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE MASKED AT ALL TIMES (food or beverage must be consumed outside of the arena.  If any person is not capable of wearing a mask he/she must not attend the game)
  • ALL ATTENDEES MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING OF AT LEAST 6 FEET - family units can sit together.
  • No equipment bags will be allowed in facilities with the exceptions of goalies, small drawstring bags will be allowed
  • Only active players and 3 coaches are allowed on the bench during game play. Players unable to participate may not be on the bench.

Arriving at the Rink (REA & HUCK) & Game time:

  • Prior to arriving (players and spectators) – complete a self check using self-screening form  ... see other COVID-19 documents listed below.
  • 15 minutes prior to game: goalies are allowed in
  • 10 minutes prior to game: players can enter
  • Spectators are allowed in at warm-ups or as players take the ice
  • Players must arrive to the arena fully dressed, apart from skates, helmet and gloves.  Goalies can arrive half dressed.  All players should have their own water bottles and masks.  Socially distanced chairs will be available for each player to finish dressing at the arena.  Mouth guards are required (tether free).
  • no locker rooms will be available at the HUCK or REA - socially distanced chairs are available for teams to put on skates.
  • There are separate entry and exit doors (labeled as such).
  • Spectators (home and visiting) must sign in using our team attendance tracker - please complete by the evening before the game (I need to print and would like as complete as possible by the evening before the game - thank-you!).   Note: This form is specific for Bantam A, please ensure you are using the correct form for attendance (each team has their own).
  • you can also access using this QR code (just aim your camera at the code)
  •
  • A home team representative will be checking in spectators at the gate from information submitted on the form (updated 1.28.21 - may be up to 4 attendees per player, but try to adhere to two per player)
  • Arenas will have signage for home and visitor seating - (Huck: visitors are to the left, home to the right upon entry), please sit in designated areas and in the proper sections.
  • Whenever possible, players should use the restroom at home prior to leaving for the rink in an effort to limit bathroom use at the facility.
  • Team managers – please have 3 roster stickers ready (cross out any players not playing).  To have scoresheet ready for game time, please hand to door monitor ~ 15 mins before game time.
  • The scorer’s/penalty box should be staffed by no more than 2 persons, that are socially distanced.  Masks should be worn at all times.
  • Games:  5 minute warm-up; 3 - 15 minute periods; 2 minutes rest between periods.  NO overtime.
  • Games - per MN Hockey - face coverings (masks) must cover both the nose and mouth and per state mask mandate they must be worn by everyone in the arena - including participants (players) during on-ice game play.  As guests of the Huck and REA, we must follow Arena management (VenuWorks) policies on this as well (updated policy to be posted soon).
  • Spectators to leave immediately at game end, players up to 10 minutes after game, and goalies up to 15 minutes after the game
